KÜHL® SILENCR™ Kargo Shorts Review

November 24, 2025 By Kim Nelson Leave a Comment

I recently got a chance to test out the KÜHL® SILENCR™ KARGO SHORTS in exchange for an honest review. I was grateful for this opportunity as I have some of their pants that I like to wear for hiking and everyday use. KÜHL® is a great brand with a lot of options for outdoor enthusiasts. The Silencr shorts are no exception and they come in a wide variety of colors and sizes. They also have many other men’s shorts to choose from.

Review of KÜHL® SILENCR™ Kargo Shorts

I have appreciated the strength of these shorts and their durability is great! They are easy to clean and will hold up well to multi-day trips. One thing about my KÜHL® clothes that I have come to appreciate is the soft micro chamois in the waistband that adds a special soft touch and they truly do make their clothes a bit more comfortable. These shorts breathe well and have a lot of pockets that are perfect for your phone, wallet, and any other items in your every day carry.

I did not get a chance to wear them on a wet day, but I have confidence that the water resistance will be great for a wet hike or canoe trip.

Pros

These shorts are strong, comfortable, and will wear well. They are clean and simple – without all the extra patterns or pockets that add bulk. I wanted some shorts that I could wear on a hike, the golf course, or even at a work event and these are them!

Cons

I found these shorts to fit smaller than the pants I have from KÜHL®. I had to order one size up in order for them to fit comfortably.

Final Thoughts

The KÜHL® SILENCR™ Kargo shorts are a great addition to your suitcase on your next trip! I’d choose one size up from your normal sizing to ensure comfort. Give them a try on your next trip! For more hiking gear tips check out this post.
